The Best Home Remedies to Fix Dry, Cracked Feet

There are few things that are more unattractive than dry, cracked and peeling feet. If your feet are rough and dry, you don’t have to suffer with them. You can restore them to health by experimenting with ingredients you can find at home. Check out some of our favorite home remedies below.

1. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has so many healthful and beneficial uses. If you don’t have some of this amazing stuff in your kitchen already, go get it now. You can use it to cook with and you can also apply it to your feet before going to bed. It provides a deep moisturizing effect, and keeps fungal and bacterial issues at bay. We’ve talked previously about the wonders of coconut oil for skin; it’s an extremely versatile ingredient.

2. Mentholated Rub

If you’ve got dry, cracked feet and toenail fungus, your mentholated rub that you use during cold season is just the thing. Smooth it onto your feet before bed and cover with socks. Over a few days, the rough skin will peel off and leave you with gloriously soft feet.

3. Paraffin Wax

Pamper your feet with paraffin wax. You can heat it in your microwave. Once you heat it, add in coconut oil until it forms a thick and creamy paste. Apply it to the cracked part of your feet and then cover with socks. Wash your feet in the morning and moisturize. Keep repeating this process for a week until your feet look flawless.

4. Epsom Salt

Epsom salt is great for promoting circulation. It also contains magnesium, which is fantastic for your body’s overall health and removing toxins. You’ll want to soak your feet in a tub of warm water with a half cup of Epsom salt. After 10 minutes, rub your feet with a pumice stone to slough off the dead skin. Soak your feet once more for 10 more minutes. Afterward, dry your feet and moisturize.

5. Vaseline

Good old Vaseline has been touted as one of the best remedies for dry, cracked feet. Simply slather it onto your feet before bedtime and cover with thick socks. When you wake up, you will have softer feet. If you follow this treatment after soaking in Epsom salt, you will have spectacularly soft and supple feet!

6. Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera is one of the most wonderful gels in the world and is completely plant-based. After soaking your feet, generously cover your feet in Aloe Vera gel and then slip on a pair of socks before going to bed.

7. Listerine

Mouthwash safely and effectively clears away the germs in your mouth, so imagine how amazing it is on your feet! Mix a cup of it with a cup of white vinegar and two cups of water, then soak your feet in it for at least 10 minutes but no more than 15. Scrub your feet with a pumice stone and wash off. Then moisturize and you’ll be on your way with soft and sensual feet!
