First Time Taking CBD Oil? 5 Things to Remember

Whatever reason you’re thinking of taking CBD oil for the first time, whether you’re looking for healthier skin, reducing the symptoms of anxiety or stress, or a mixture of all the amazing benefits it can provide (and there are a lot, with more being proven seemingly every day), it can still seem scary when you’re taking it for the first time.

We get it. You’re not sure what to expect or what’s going to happen. Is it going to make you feel differently or make you feel strange, or is it going to freak you out? We can say now that it’s not, but we can see your concerns. That’s why today we’re going to share five things to remember to ensure your first experience with CBD oil is the best it can be!

1. Start Small and Build Up

There’s no reason when you’re starting out that you need to go all in and take a massive dose of CBD oil just because you think it’s going to get the best results, especially if you’re just starting out. Just like anything in life, it’s always going to be best if you start off small.

2. Use High-Quality Products

One of the best tips to remember is to use the best quality CBD products you can, and therefore you know you’re going to get the best results. If you’re using low-quality CBD products, this can actually be produced in poor quality conditions and environments which can ultimately produce a toxic product. The best way to avoid toxic products is to only buy high-quality oil.

Look to only find pure CBD oil for sale where you know you’re getting a good deal. This way, when it comes to taking the product for the first time, you know you’re not going to be subject to dodgy products which will leave you out of pocket and potentially feeling unwell. Just because a brand is affordable, that doesn’t mean it’s any good.

3. Check the Dosage

An important point to remember. CBD oil comes in lots of different strengths and potencies, and while a website may say take a 5ml dosage, if you’re using super-strength oil, then you’re not going to need this much at all. Always make sure you’re checking the strength you need and how much you should be taking at one time.

In clinical trials, some people are subject to doses between 300 and 700mg, which is far beyond the maximum of 10mg you’ll be taking at home, but even those in clinical trials are okay, so don’t worry too much. Just be as cautious and as aware as you can to ensure you’re safe.

4. You Could Get High, But You Probably Won’t

Perhaps the biggest concern with most people taking CBD oil for the first time is whether you’ll get high or not, like smoking marijuana or ‘weed’. Well, CBD oil is derived from hemp plants which contain very fine traces of THC, the psychoactive ingredient that can make you ‘high’.

However, CBD oil production methods, especially those used in high-quality products, will extract the CBD in a way that doesn’t contain much THC, meaning you’re not going to get high. To avoid getting high, look for products with THC levels below 0.3%. CBD oil does not exist to get you high.

5. Don’t Set Unrealistic Expectations

Hand in hand with the point above, don’t go into taking CBD oil with unrealistic expectations. If you’re taking it to counter symptoms of depression or anxiety, don’t expect it to suddenly work the instant you take it. Most of the time, you’ll be taking the oil has part of a daily routine, which means it takes time to build up and the effects to take place.

No magic is going to happen overnight, so don’t expect it to.

Summary

As you can see, taking CBD oil for the first time doesn’t have to be scary, and there’s really nothing you have to be worried about, but it is important that you take time to get the right products and take it the right way. If you take your time and do things properly, then you’ll have nothing to worry about whatsoever!
